Each input/output channel is equipped with an individual LED indicator showing its current signal status. Additional diagnostic LEDs are provided for monitoring the operating and error status of the Lightbus fibre-optic communication ring.

The M1410 also features a 100 ms watchdog safety circuit that switches off the outputs if communication is interrupted or a system error is detected.
